Tips for Job Seekers
Follow these steps to prepare for the career fair:
Pre-Fair
- Be prepared and ready to share.
- Review booths, representatives, and FAQs on the event details page
- Research the organizations in attendance
- Practice your elevator pitch
- Update your resume
- Build your attendee profile
- Log-in with a Zoom account to complete prior to the event and edit as needed OR
- Complete a basic guest profile after joining the lobby
- Check technology and Wi-Fi.
- Explore the platform
- Join the lobby early and bookmark booth sessions you wish to attend – bookmarked booths will show up in the Agenda tab.
Day-Of
- Dress appropriately.
- Find a quiet space and join the lobby early.
- Join/attend booth sessions on time.
- If there is more than 1 representative, you may request to speak 1:1 during the booth session.
- Ask questions and be interview-ready.
- Connect with and obtain booth representative contact information.
- Log-in with a Zoom account to utilize the networking feature and more easily connect with other attendees and representatives
Post-Fair
- Send thank you emails.
- Apply for opportunities.
- Complete the event survey to share your experience with us!
