Hosted by ÏÉÈËÕÆÊÓƵ

Webinar | July 23, 2024, 3 pm ET

In this webinar, Environmental Public Health and Healthy Homes come together to deliver their unique perspectives on rural and frontier communities.

In partnership with the National Center for Healthy Housing (NCHH), we are proud to host three subject matter experts who will deliver presentations on several different aspects of rural and frontier communities. First, subject matter expert, Romona Williams, from Mississippi Communities United for Prosperity, will provide a presentation encompassing a healthy homes perspective on lead, acquiring funding opportunities, and building partnerships in rural and frontier communities. Next, subject matter expert Len Wishart, from Albemarle Housing Improvement Program in Virginia, will focus on lead-based paint, mold, deferred maintenance, clutter, water intrusion, vermin, and different methods for weatherization. Lastly, Brandon Kemperman, from Public Health – Seattle & King County, will render an environmental public health overview of opportunities and barriers faced by the environmental public health workforce who specialize in rural and frontier communities, and strategies King County has implemented to overcome and positively impact public health outcomes.
